Since October 2000 the Marryat Players have performed concerts in the spring, summer and autumn of each year. Each concert is the culmination of five days of intensive rehearsals at the orchestra's home in Marryat Road, Wimbledon Village, under the guidance of conductors Alexander Baillie, Tim Boulton, Matthias Feile and Robert Max.

Supported by young professional musicians and music students, the 40 young musicians have played works from Bach to Bartok. The Marryat Players have also performed three new works written for them by composers Alexander Baillie, Timothy Murray and 17-year-old cellist Colin Alexander.

The next performance by the Marryat Players will be on:

"I think that every member of the audience was amazed at the sheer vitality, enthusiasm and professionalism of such a young orchestra"
